Urs Ziegler appointed Member of the Executive Board and Head of the Asset Management Division

On the recommendation of the Chief Executive Officer, the Board of Directors has appointed Mr Urs Ziegler as a Member of the Executive Board. Mr Ziegler has also been appointed Head of the Asset Management Division effective 1 January 2022, replacing Constantino Cancela.

Urs Ziegler holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Lausanne and is a Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA®). He began his career with Swiss Bank Corporation, becoming Head of Product Management in the Corporate and Institutional Clients department after its merger with UBS. In 1998, he joined Julius Bär Asset Management as a Sales and Relationship Manager. He then joined Banque Cantonale Vaudoise in 2006 to head the Business Development of the Asset Management Division. In December 2020, he became Head of the BCGE's Asset Management business unit.

 

BCGE’s Asset Management Division consists of about thirty people working in Geneva and Zurich and is responsible for advising institutional clients on their investment strategies. It also provides centralised management of all of the BCGE Group's mandates, funds and investment instruments and promotes the distribution of the Group's investment products on the national and international markets.

 

The Board of Directors and the Executive Board wish Urs Ziegler every success in his new role. They warmly thank Mr Constantino Cancela, who will retire at the end of 2021, for his valuable commitment to the group.
