BCGE once again named “Responsible Employer”
BCGE has once more earned the 1+ pour tous – Employeur responsable label, awarded free of charge for a period of two years by Geneva’s Department of Economy and Employment.
The 1+ pour tous – Employeur responsable label is awarded by Geneva’s Department of Economy and Employment (DEE) to recognise public and economic actors in the Canton of Geneva who play an active part in the local economy by using employment as a driver for integration.
It promotes companies that have signed the partnership charter between the Canton of Geneva, the Geneva Business Federation (FER Geneva) and the Union of Geneva Employers’ Associations (UAPG), which hire Geneva residents registered with the Cantonal Employment Office on open-ended contracts following a fair selection process among candidates with equal skills.
The 1+ pour tous – Employeur responsable label was created in partnership with companies in the region to support all those registered with the Cantonal Employment Office and to strengthen Geneva’s economy in the long run. The label is designed to highlight the social and human values of the employer brand.

Created in 2012 to help the long-term unemployed return to work, the label has enjoyed the support of employers since its launch.
At the suggestion of the DEE, the label was opened up in 2020 to all job applicants registered with the Cantonal Employment Office or those receiving benefits from the Social Welfare Office (HG) or the Cantonal Social Insurance Office (OCAS).
