As CEO of BCGE, Blaise Goetschin has been a member of ASCB’s Board of Directors since 2001 and was unanimously elected new vice-president of the Board of Directors. The election took place at the Extraordinary General Meeting of the ASCB on 30 November 2022 in Bern.
The Association
The Association of Swiss Cantonal Banks is the umbrella organisation of the 24 cantonal banks. As of 31 December 2021, its members together accounted for 30% of the mortgage market, 32% of deposits and maintained business relations with 45% of Swiss private clients. The cantonal banks employ 19,145 people and their combined balance sheets total CHF 749 billion. The ASCB is chaired by Bruno Thürig and managed by Hanspeter Hess.
